Great work with great people. That’s not a tagline — it’s how we operate.
Meyers+Associates is an architecture and interior design firm in Columbus, Ohio. We’ve been at this since 1999 — and the way we work has always been as important to us as the work itself. That means mentorship is built into how projects run, a genuine investment in the communities we’re part of, and a practice where people at every level are taken seriously. In 2023, we received the AIA Ohio Gold Medal Firm Award, the highest recognition AIA Ohio gives to a practice.
How We Work
Our downtown Columbus office was designed around how we actually operate — open, collaborative, with interns alongside principals and architects next to interior designers. That’s not an accident. It’s how mentorship happens in practice rather than on a schedule.
We hire at all levels and invest in people wherever they are in their careers. New team members work on real projects from the start, with experienced designers and architects actively involved in their development. We support licensure, encourage industry involvement, and have principals who are still doing the work alongside everyone else.
That approach has earned us the Early Professional Friendly Firm designation from AIA Ohio and Christopher Meyers, FAIA the AIA Ohio Mentor Award.
Community & Philanthropy
Giving back has been part of how we operate since the beginning, not as a program we stood up but as something the people here have always made time for. Our staff volunteers with organizations they care about on paid time, and we provide an annual scholarship for employees’ children pursuing higher education.
That commitment extends to the communities our buildings serve. We’ve taken on pro bono work, donated professional services, and stayed involved in Columbus long after projects are complete. Columbus Business First has recognized us with the Corporate Citizenship Award multiple times, recognition that reflects what our staff brings to this work as much as anything the firm has done formally.
Design Discovery Days
We run a program for high school and college students called Design Discovery Days — structured visits that give students real exposure to what architecture, interior design, and creative careers actually look like. Not a tour. Time with the people doing the work, on real projects, with honest conversation about what the profession requires.
It started as a commitment to the next generation of designers. It’s also just something our team believes in.
Every project starts with the people behind it. Get to know the architects, designers, and staff who make up Meyers+Associates.
Recognition from our peers and the broader design community, going back to our earliest years in practice. The work speaks for itself — but it helps when others notice too.
