Parks and recreation are essential to the fabric of communities. Our designs celebrate the unique power and resilience of the communities we work with while promoting health and wellness. Chance interactions, connections, and stories unfold across our designs’ touchpoints, creating a sense of belonging to draw people in. Our recreational spaces include aquatic centers and community pools, golf and country clubs, public parks, pickleball facilities, and fitness.
Public recreation facilities carry a different kind of weight. They’re built with public dollars, shaped by community input, and expected to serve everyone from the first day they open through the next 30 years of use. We’ve been doing this work long enough to understand what that responsibility looks like in practice.
Some of our longest client relationships are in this market. With the City of Grandview Heights, we’ve worked together since 2010, helping establish a design language for their parks and recreation facilities that the community now recognizes as its own. When a municipality or parks district finds a firm they trust, they tend to keep calling.
Our clients include municipalities, parks districts, and collegiate athletics programs. Decisions are made by committees, approved by boards, and scrutinized by the public. The architect’s job is to earn that trust early and hold it through construction. We know how to run that process and we bring the same design depth here that we apply to hospitality and mixed-use work.

We produce coordinated construction documents contractors can build from. Catching issues on paper keeps them off the job site.

We stay involved through construction, solving problems quickly and keeping everyone informed. What gets built is what you approved.
