AC Hotels by Marriott

One long-standing relationship, seven unique hotels.

  1. Stay

  3. Featured

Spanning the eastern United States, each project involved the design of a building that would uniquely respond to its surroundings and consider the brand’s architectural language.

Each hotel features carefully curated lobbies that blend inspiration, art and materials from the respective neighborhood with the brand’s signature clean European styling and high-end feel. Each location has a relevant theme or visual language unique to its location. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail, for example, influenced material choices, like copper, at the AC Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, and the AC Hotel in Pittsburgh features steel and industrial elements.

Before jump lobbies were commonplace, our team designed them into several AC Hotels, a challenge that required us to reimagine the typical lobby experience. Modular construction also impacted the building details and created opportunities in terms of cost savings and project pace. The hotels also feature a restaurant and bar to serve as a social hub and community haunt.

With each new AC Hotel, we welcomed the opportunity to be creative and collaborative.

We always settled on a relevant theme or visual language. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail, for example, influenced material choices, like copper, at the AC Hotel in Louisville, Ky. The AC Hotel in Pittsburgh features steel and industrial elements.
