Public recreation facilities carry a different kind of weight. They’re built with public dollars, shaped by community input, and expected to serve everyone from the first day they open through the next 30 years of use. We’ve been doing this work long enough to understand what that responsibility looks like in practice.
Some of our longest client relationships are in this market. With the City of Grandview Heights, we’ve worked together since 2010, helping establish a design language for their parks and recreation facilities that the community now recognizes as its own. When a municipality or parks district finds a firm they trust, they tend to keep calling.
Our clients include municipalities, parks districts, and collegiate athletics programs. Decisions are made by committees, approved by boards, and scrutinized by the public. The architect’s job is to earn that trust early and hold it through construction.
