Through his multi-disciplinary practice, Chris has shaped the architecture profession through his innovative mentorship techniques and programs to positively shape the profession. Through his leadership, he has shaped a firm culture that encourages architects to volunteer and give back to their communities, inspiring a new generation of service-minded professionals.
His expertise in mentorship and firm management is widely recognized, becoming a sought-after voice in national conversations on mentorship and firm management, presenting through AIA, ULI, and other industry organizations. For this impact, he was recognized by AIA Ohio as Mentor of the Year and distinguished by Architect Magazine as a Top 50 Firm for his model of practice and his mentorship initiatives nationally.

Building Community Activism
Chris leads by example, using the practice of architecture to create meaningful benefits that support those in need. He mentors emerging professionals through the firm’s pro bono design services. Encouraging them to serve their community and demonstrating how architects can make a difference through community service.
Increasing Access to Licensure
As a two-term President of The Ohio Board of Architects, Chris worked with AIA, NCARB, and state legislators to streamline licensing for new architects. By partnering with Ohio’s five architecture schools, he helped increase registration and has mentored over 60 architects through the licensing process.
Results-Driven Design
Through his mentorship-focused practice, Chris’ team creates solutions to challenges in a wide range of diverse project types; under his guidance, the firm transforms institutions, organizations, and communities through his model process of engagement, driving results and creating a lasting design impact. His approach to architecture has earned recognition for creating meaningful change through design, including multiple civic accolades, AIA Honor Awards, and, notably, Meyers+Associates receiving the 2023 AIA Ohio Gold Medal Firm Award.
