Overlooking the runways at John Glenn Columbus International Airport, this Residence Inn ties into the airport’s campus master plan by addressing existing and future infrastructure routes.

The proximity to the runway posed acoustical design challenges, which were overcome through environmental and façade studies during design and increased STC building envelope systems. Similarly, the massing of the building responds to the FAA visual regulations for sightlines and the campus’ developing context. The 122-key hotel offers an enlarged bar, putting green and custom design elements in the interior, including imagery of the history of flight from the Ohio History Connection archives.
