Columbus’ Near Southside neighborhood adjacent to Nationwide Children’s Hospital had seen considerable investment in the area. Livingston Park revitalization presented a unique opportunity to reinforce the park’s role in the community. Cultural improvements were developed in collaboration with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department staff and MKSK through a multi-phase master plan.

Livingston Park’s revitalization capitalizes on the architecture of a dramatic shade structure reminiscent of historic trolley sheds and a new plaza. Illuminated LED panels complement the pavilion that reinforces the neighborhood’s identity and preserves its history for future residents.
