Located at a prominent intersection in Columbus, the project included the demolition of a blighted structure and the construction of an 8-story condominium that complimented and enhanced the urban fabric. The 71,000 sf. building featured 64 residential units, a rooftop terrace, an enclosed automated stacked parking system and a street front retail area. The superstructure was framed entirely out of light gauge steel stud bearing walls and floor joists. This structural system streamlined the construction schedule and cost by minimizing required structural steel framing. The roof included a rooftop party terrace with rooftop lobby space. The project responded to the existing surroundings by synthesizing and responding to various site specific factors. As a catalyst to encourage downtown living and development, the project was a valuable addition to the urban fabric.
