The project includes design and construction for the bath house replacements at the City of Columbus facilities of Windsor, Marion, Franklin and Dodge. As part of a multi-phased improvement strategy
by the City of Columbus, the development of a new prototype pool building included community interaction and neighborhood focus groups as a significant part of the design phase. The scope for the sites includes pool deck, site, landscape, and accessibility improvements. The Dodge facility received further pool related improvements, including a new leisure pool incorporating a zero entry, a 25-yard 6 lane competition pool, diving well, multiple play structures, two 25’ water slides, tot pool, and pool mechanical building. The resulting building concept combines a welcoming openness with a sense of strength, and durability with a vibrant materiality and attention to detail.
